Terms of Service

These terms explain how ExpeFi subscriptions, bank sync, budgeting tools, exports, and customer responsibilities work.

1. Service and operator

ExpeFi operates the ExpeFi website and app. ExpeFi provides digital software for tracking expenses, budgets, bills, cash activity, connected bank transactions, and one-way exports. ExpeFi is not a bank, broker, custodian, accountant, tax adviser, legal adviser, money transmitter, bill-pay provider, or payment initiation service.

2. Accounts and access

You are responsible for maintaining your account credentials, using integrations only for accounts you are authorized to access, and keeping manual cash entries, budgets, bills, categories, account labels, and settings accurate. Private beta and dashboard access may be limited to approved users while ExpeFi is being tested.

3. Subscriptions, payments, and cancellation

ExpeFi offers a Pro subscription. Subscription prices and renewal periods are shown during Stripe Checkout. Stripe processes checkout, payment method handling, receipts, invoices, and billing portal access. You may cancel a subscription through the billing portal or by contacting [email protected].

4. Refunds and digital delivery

ExpeFi is digital SaaS access, so there are no physical shipping, delivery, or return obligations. Unless required by law or approved for a duplicate charge, billing error, or exceptional case, fees already paid are generally not prorated or refunded. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.

5. Teller read-only bank sync

ExpeFi may let you connect bank accounts through Teller. Teller connections are used for read-only account and transaction sync. ExpeFi does not collect bank passwords, initiate transfers, pay bills, move money, issue cards, or provide credit through Teller. Synced data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or limited by institution coverage.

6. Manual entries and exports

ExpeFi may let you enter cash expenses, cash holdings, budgets, bills, account labels, categories, and related notes manually. Exports, including XLSX downloads and Google Sheets sync, are for your review and recordkeeping. You are responsible for checking exported information before relying on it.

7. No professional advice and data accuracy

ExpeFi displays data, summaries, and calculations for personal finance organization. Connected bank data, manual entries, currency rates, budgets, bill reminders, and insights can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. You are solely responsible for financial, tax, legal, accounting, and payment decisions.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use ExpeFi to violate laws, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious content, overload the app, bypass access controls, or misuse payment, authentication, bank-sync, export, market-data, or infrastructure systems.

9. Third-party services

ExpeFi uses third-party providers such as Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, Teller for read-only bank connections, Cloudflare for application infrastructure and D1 persistence, Google Workspace APIs for Sheets add-on functionality, and external currency data providers for exchange-rate information. Their services may have separate terms and policies.

10. Google Sheets add-on

ExpeFi may offer a Google Sheets add-on for one-way manual report sync from ExpeFi into the active spreadsheet. The add-on does not import spreadsheet edits into ExpeFi, create Drive files, run scheduled refreshes, provide custom formulas, or request Drive-wide access.
