What the add-on does

ExpeFi for Google Sheets adds a sidebar that connects your ExpeFi account and manually writes expense, budget, bill, cash-flow, and account reports into managed workbook tabs. It is built for personal finance review, budget tracking, transaction records, and export workflows.

Sync model

  • Manual sync only; no scheduled background refresh.
  • One-way export from ExpeFi to the active spreadsheet.
  • Spreadsheet edits are never imported back into ExpeFi.
  • Paid ExpeFi Pro account required for live sync.

Requested Google access

The add-on requests only the scopes needed to update the current spreadsheet and call ExpeFi's API. It does not request Drive-wide access, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, or Google account profile data.

Why ExpeFi requests these scopes

spreadsheets.currentonly lets the add-on create and update managed report tabs only in the spreadsheet where the add-on is installed or used. ExpeFi does not request permission to scan every file in Google Drive.

script.external_request lets the add-on connect to ExpeFi.com for connection approval, export data, sync logging, and disconnect requests.

Data handling

The add-on may send a hashed spreadsheet identifier, spreadsheet name, selected sync scope, masked-mode preference, date range, connection code, and add-on access token to ExpeFi. ExpeFi stores token hashes and sync metadata to authorize one-way manual syncs, troubleshoot failures, and revoke disconnected add-ons.

ExpeFi is personal finance organization software. It is not a bank, accountant, tax adviser, legal adviser, payment initiation service, or bill-pay provider.
